Grožnjan-Grisignana, a small Istrian town of great cultural significance, is located on a hill above the valley of the river Mirna. Known as the 'city of artists', it offers a wide range of events throughout the year, which makes this magical town an ideal place to relax, but also to live.
The Grožnjan area is a typical Mediterranean ambience dominated by olive groves and vineyards. Grožnjan has 11 settlements, which are only a 5-minute drive away. It is assumed that Grožnjan got its name thanks to its location on a stone hill, called Grisium in Latin, and hence the ancient name Graeciniana, or Grisignana. It is located at 289 meters above sea level and from Grožnjan there is a beautiful view of the valley of the river Mirna in the south, and to the east to Motovun and Učka.
